Paris, January 17, 1969

The table has been set. Now the real negotiation begins.

Vice President Nguyễn Cao Kỳ hosts an elegant diplomatic reception one day after a historic breakthrough in the Paris Peace Talks. Diplomats, journalists, and socialites gather under one roof. The press watches. Security watches. Everyone has secrets.

You will receive:

  • A character with hidden objectives
  • Relationships that complicate everything
  • Information others want
  • Choices that matter

The night unfolds in five acts: From elegant arrival to tense lockdown. From polite conversation to desperate scramble. Some will achieve their missions. Some will be exposed. All will remember.

This is not a typical party. This is immersive historical theater where your decisions shape the outcome. No costume required. Real food. Minimal props. Maximum intrigue.

What happened in Paris on January 17, 1969?

You're about to find out—from the inside.

The Making of a Christian Historical Murder Mystery Dinner Event 20 years later.

My 40th birthday in 2006 went down as the best birthday present I've ever given to myself. Many of us from Midway EM still have fond memories of that. But it takes 18 months to work on it, researching, crafting the scripts, even building an entire website for it (which had crashed, and I lost all the artifacts).

My 50th birthday in 2016 was a feeble attempt at role-playing with a short alternate reality game (ARG). I was kidnapped, and multiple teams were doing the "Amazing Race," solving puzzles and clues along the way to find the final birthday party location. It was much tamer. But it's all the time I could afford.

My 60th birthday is coming up in 60 days. But how could I pull off the 18 months of work it would take to do it? But I have a plan. And I need help. If you can commit (I used that word intentionally here) to help, let's do it!
