The Making of a Big Historical Murder Mystery Party

The World Stage before the Event
I love the wisdom gained through historical research. I came across Billy Graham's sermon on https://billygraham.org/sermons/rioting-looting-and-crime and got a glimpse of the US's socio-political climate in the years after I was born. It also helps me to understand how the military failure of the Tet Offensive changed the Vietnam War.
Most surprisingly, I realized that the unrest was not just an American sentiment, but also in France and across the globe. This should explain why the mood is tense at the Paris Gala.
The more I learned, the more I realized that kingdoms rise and fall, but history is heading according to God's trajectory.
The table has been set. Now the real negotiation begins.
Vice President Nguyễn Cao Kỳ hosts an elegant diplomatic reception one day after a historic breakthrough in the Paris Peace Talks. Diplomats, journalists, and socialites gather under one roof. The press watches. Security watches. Everyone has secrets.
You will receive:
A character with hidden objectives
Relationships that complicate everything
Information others want
Choices that matter
The night unfolds in five acts: From elegant arrival to tense lockdown. From polite conversation to desperate scramble. Some will achieve their missions. Some will be exposed. All will remember.
This is not a typical party. This is immersive historical theater where your decisions shape the outcome. No costume required. Real food. Minimal props. Maximum intrigue.

My 40th birthday in 2006 went down as the best birthday present I've ever given to myself. Many of us from Midway EM still have fond memories of that. But it takes 18 months to work on it, researching, crafting the scripts, even building an entire website for it (which had crashed, and I lost all the artifacts).
My 50th birthday in 2016 was a feeble attempt at role-playing with a short alternate reality game (ARG). I was kidnapped, and multiple teams were doing the "Amazing Race," solving puzzles and clues along the way to find the final birthday party location. It was much tamer. But it's all the time I could afford.
My 60th birthday is coming up in 60 days. But how could I pull off the 18 months of work it would take to do it? But I have a plan. And I need help. If you can commit (I used that word intentionally here) to help, let's do it!
I've never seen that many goodlooking people like I did last night at the Ball. Jenney was right when she said that many have take this even more seriously than going to a wedding. People spent days on getting the right look of their characters down. Everyone seemed to be so into it and enjoy a marvelous times. The food was top notch like never before. Quite a few people was hit. Some accidentally, some according to their objectives. David made an amazing and meaning video on my life, Vivi, Johnny and Kimmy pulled off a delightful fashion show.
What a regret for me to have to end before 10pm so we could clean up. There is so much I could have done, like announcing the winners for best dressing, acting and killing categories.
What started 18 months ago here had finally ended. Never again we will attempt such craziness. Pictures and notes will be linked in soon.
And Calvin summed up well, I am loved! What a blessing!
I have an hour to spend researching for the game and ran into this wonderful site: http://homepage.ntlworld.com/j.coutts1/main.htm - There the author provided 7 free murder mystery party kits as well as a short encouragement of how to write your own. Good stuff!
